Monthly Earnings Report: May 2009

And there we are, my May 2009 earnings report.  About $20.00 shy of what I was hoping for.  So what do I blame this on?  Myself.

eHow has earned me some great money this month however I could have done much better.  The goal I set was 100 eHow articles... I have 42.  That's right, I only wrote 6 article this entire month.  So my fault there.

Bukisa?  7 articles.  That is 43 articles short of what I was shooting for.  This was sort of a surprise for me though.  I completely forgot about this website and I had $.20 with one article when I opened it.  So I decided to add 6 more from my collection and they earned about $0.01 each since.  My conclusion to Bukisa is that it won't earn you a nickel until after it has been posted for a month and has somewhat matured.

As for the GPT websites, I am stopping most of those.  I think I will stop using TreasureTrooper, CashCrate, and definitely DealBarbiePays.  Most likely I will try to get to $20 on each and then just cash out and call it quits, however I am just going to give up on DealBarbiePays and not even attempt for the cash out.

I also have a test for this month, but I won't tell until I get it all set up.  I will let everyone know what will be going down soon!

GPT Website Experiment Results Are In!!

So which GPT (Get Paid To) website is the best?  Well I have the results and I have a winner, I will say that the winner was unexpected.  Before I go over the results, let me review how the contest worked:

So as for the results, I am showing them in an excel spreadsheet below:

Yea that's right, Moola ended up being the winner here.  Why is this so surprising?  Because I didn't even realize Moola had an option to do this!  However, I didn't decide the winner based on how mjuch money was paid out.  There are some other benefits besides just getting money.  For example, TreasureTrooper has an awesome refferral program where they will give you free referrals if you collect 8 "pearls."  Coincidentally, one of my free referrals earned me a dime while I was conducting the experiment and so I added that referral money to the experiment spread sheet for TreasureTrooper.

I'm going to give a quick break down of each site and then present my findings on a spreadsheet that rates each based on referrals, contests, etc.

TreasureTrooper - The best looking of all the sites.  Not only do they have cash offers for you to fill out, you can also take 3 surveys a day.  This site also has some side games to help you earn more cash including a mini game that you play after each offer that has you pick 1 of 3 treasure chests.  If the treasure chest you picked has a pearl in it, you add it to your collection.  Once you have collected 8 pearls, you can turn them in for 2 free refferals. You get 20% of your referrals and 5% of your second level referrals.  Minimum cash out is $20 and it and you get it around the middle of the next month.

CashCrate - A very simple site that has a clean look and is pretty easy to use.  Not too much else going on besides the cash offers and 1 contest every month.  They do offer points for some offers that you can redeem for gift cards to online stores.  Referral commission changes when you get more refferals, you start out at 20% for level 1 and 10% for level 2 but it can grow to be 30% for level 1 and 20% for level 2 referrals.  While they are a legitmate website, I have heard that payouts can take a long time and you may need to contact them via email if you haven't recieved your payment yet.  Minimum cash out is $20.

Cash Lagoon - Another very simple site that offers daily contests and not too much else besides the cash offers.  There is no point system and just raw deals.  I found the payouts seem to be better and I feel the chances of getting an offer approved is better.  The main advantage is you can cash out whenever you want (even if it is only $.25) and it takes less than 24 hours!  You get 20% of your referrals cash and 8% of your second level refferals.

DealBarbiePays - I have had the least luck with this website but they do give you $5 for just signing up.  The only reason why I got a penny was because I did a website where you view it for 30 seconds and they give you a cent.  Even though I have not gotten too much luck, I hear some people do great on this site so I must be doing something wrong.  Referrals give you the same deal as Cash Lagoon (20%) and minimum cash out is $20.  You get your cash on the 25th of the next month.

Moola - This is my favorite site of the bunch.  The reason is because cash offers is not their main specialty, they do some online gambling!  Go to my previous post to learn more about it.  The offers on this website also seem to be worth more than any of the other websites.  You only get 4% for you first level referral, 3% for your second level, 2% for your third level, and 1% for your fourth level referral.  Minimum cash out is $10 but I heard it can take up to 6 months to recieve it.

So with all of that being said, here is how I broke down my rating system:

  • Each is ranked from 1 to 5 with 5 being the highest.
  • I added up all the scores, and the higher the total score the better the ranking

So here are my results:

So the winner was Moola!  And DealBarbiePays turned out to be the worst one for me, however many people seem to be doing quite well with it so I would not call DealBarbiePays a scam.  I would also like to say that I am not trying to discourage you from using all of them, because some may work out better for you.  Here are the my referral links to all of them if you would like to try them out and be reffered by me.

So that is how you can make quick money on the internet, using those sites above.  I am going to add a page soon with all my tips on how to get the sites to approve your cash offer.

Thanks for you support!

GPT Site Experiment Almost Done!

First, I would like to thank everyone that regularly visits this site and gives me support, I really appreciate it.  I hope this site is helping you get that side money you want and I hope every college kid uses these ideas to get any penny they can.

As for the experiment, I have only 2 sites left.  I have been doing each site on different days to make sure that no site has any advantage.  I will say that the results are very surprising, and I didn't expect it at all.

By the way, the end of the month is coming up and that means my monthly report is about to be posted.  This month is not up to my expecatations at all but it is my fault.  I'll post the results soon!

Thanks for the support,

Quick Update

Hey everyone,

Just so you know what's going on, I have been trying to find a job and taking some summer classes for college. I have been trying to do what I can with eHow, Bukisa, etc. I have started the little experiment on the "Get Paid To" websites (AKA TreasureTrooper, CashCrate, etc.) and I am starting to knock some of those out. I will try to the post the results as soon as I can. Hope your eHow articles are making you good money!

Monthly Earnings Report: April 2009

So here it is, my first month's earnings report. Over double what I was hoping for, sort of (see second paragraph for analysis on why my goal was technically not met). So my most profitable source: TreasureTrooper.com! Of course that is from the help of some of my referrals, specifically my girlfriend. But I do have 3 referrals and should be getting two more, thanks to my pearl collection rising. What makes this interesting is, I have only been on TreasureTrooper for about 4 days and same with CashCrate.com which was my second most profitable source of income.

However, this site is dedicated to passive income, right? So my passive income comes from my referrals, eHow, Bukisa and AdSense. These total up to be $12.28, and therefore I am technically $2.72 short of my goal.

The good news: my eHow articles are starting to earn much more now, I am earning at least $.50 per day for 36 articles.
The bad news: I have slipped on my article goal by a lot (I should be at 69 articles today) so I have a new goal - I will not tell you my goal until the last paragraph.

I am stopping CentSports.com and FreeSportsBets.com for 2 main reasons:
  1. Not truly passive income
  2. I would much rather try to win $10,000,000 on Moola
I am shutting out Survey Savvy and SurveySpot from the income experiment for several reasons:
  1. They aren't fun
  2. They haven't paid me anything (I'm not saying it's a sam... but maybe)
  3. It isn't truly passive income
  4. I would much rather try to win $10,000,000 on Moola
Speaking of Moola, I am addicted. This is site is so fun, and the money just gives you that gambling buzz you get from casinos. Use my invitations (they are starting to run out!), and get yourself betting on some games. I heard a lot of people get on there and cashing out at $10 and doing that several times, some people claim to have several $100 days.

Time to state my goals for the month of May:
Total Goal Amount: $75.00
Passive Income Amount: $30.00
eHow Articles: 100
Bukisa Articles: 50

I also plan on doing a little TreasureTrooper / CashCrate / DealBarbiePays / CashLagoon test. The test will simply be: which site will make me the most money in 30 minutes. I will try to do this test sometime this month and report which one will make more cash.

Thanks for reading!

Moola! Moola! Moola!

Moola! This is a great site, and incredibly addicting. This site is invite only right now and I have a limited number of invitations, so sign up as fast as you can by clicking this link.

So what is Moola? It is basically a type of gambling site but you don't actually use your money, you use the money from advertisers and bet on games and try to win your own money. The idea is simple, start with a penny and double it. Repeat. So what happens if you do this 30 times? You get $10,000,000! Yep, that's ten million dollars! Of course this is much easier said than done because everyone else you are betting against is also trying to reach the same goal. However, it is so much fun trying to get there. But you don't have to reach $10 million so cash out, you can cash out when you feel comfortable with your winnings. I totally recommend trying this site out, it is so much fun.

Stay tuned for my first month earnings from the internet tomorrow!

TreasureTrooper, CashLagoon, DealBarbiePays and CashCrate

So this post is about 4 websites: TreasureTrooper, CashLagoon, DealBarbiePays and CashCrate. All of these have the same idea, click some links and make some money for doing it. This isn't hard at all, and it works very well. They show you some links and how much each one is worth if you complete it. Right now my favorite site is TreasureTrooper, but this keeps changing. If you are trying to make a quick buck or two, this is the best way to do it in a few minutes. If you are trying to make literally a buck or two, CashLagoon is the best site because there is no minumum to reach in order for them to send you money.

TreasureTrooper is the best, in my opinion, because it is fun! They have cool games that you can play to try and win more money and my offers seem to go through within 15 minutes of completing it. Some of the games are like the pearl game that you play after every offer you complete. When you get 8 pearls, you can buy two unreffered members and use them as your referrals! This is great because you get 20% of their earnings and if they refer some people, you get 5% of those earnings. Aside from winning money, you can also do offers that give coins that you can redeem for Xbox360 and giftcards and such. Like an Xbox360 is only 200 coins, and they are not that hard to get.

A little eHow side note - - Go visit The eHow Experience, another blog about a guy writing on eHow for the same reason as me.

Final Exams, Projects, and Bukisa!

I've been getting hit hard with work over the last week and this should continue for the next two weeks because finals week starts on the 27th. Not my favorite week. Anyway, eHow is going well so are the sports betting websites. I have heard of some people doing quite well on a site called Bukisa. It's a very odd sounding name but it looks like it could be a lot of fun. I still have a lot to learn about it, but it sounds similar to the eHow deal. There is something called the "Bukisa Index"... I don't know what it is yet, but I will let you know as soon as I figure it out. So my plan is to write 2 articles a day while keeping up with my 3 article a day plan with eHow, so 5 articles a day. Of course this might not actually happen for another two weeks because I am swamped with studying and projects. So go ahead and join me on Bukisa if you are already trying to do the whole make money online thing.

Cheers,
DA

P.S. - I am 6 articles behind on eHow :( ... I'll get cracking on those as soon as I find free time and I'll post the new ones up soon, I just need free time!

Easy Google Profit... is it a Scam?

I have probably found myself on this website 100 times, it's called "Easy Google Profit" and I think it has other names like "Google Goldmine" and pretty much any other name you could think of with the word Google connected to a synonym of money. My question is, are these scams? And has anyone ever tried it? I would love to hear stories about people using these and what it was exactly, I'm 90% sure this has to be a scam... but maybe it's not.

I'm Running Out of Ideas!!!

I need to find more sites to use for my experiment! Please comment on your ideas and successes you have had with other sites and producing passive income. I have been looking into designing an iPhone app but I'm a little low on money (kind of why I made the experiment in the first place..), it turns out that I need a Mac to write an app and I have a PC. So I have added a "donate" button on the right side of the page, even a nickel would be much appreciated. I have a few ideas for some apps and I have heard of people making quite a bit of money. Go to this site and read up on the developer for iFart, absolutely amazing!

I am going to join a website called FreeSportsBet.com (Thanks Geoff!) and try to earn some income there. Here are the eHow articles for the day:

How to Ask Google a Question
How to Use the Flight Simulator in Google Earth
How to Find Google Easter Eggs

Have a great day!

Day 5: CentSports!

Ok I know, betting is not exactly passive income, but this site sounds fun and I can make a couple dimes from it. If you are unfamiliar with how CentSports.com (clicking that link means I referred you, thank you if you decide to use me as a reference) works, you should check it out because it is a lot of fun and there is no risk to lose any of your money. So how do you have no risk of losing money when you are betting on sport games? The way it works is you sign up and you get $0.10 to start betting on games. Everything is paid for by advertisers on the website, so if you lose those ten cents then you get another ten cents back and you can't bet more than you have so you can't lose any of your money. It's a great and innovative idea! So I will start betting on games and post my winnings on my monthly report.

Yes I did say monthly report, I have recently decided to start a monthly report :). So at the end of the month I will post my earnings from each site and my goal for the next month on a cool looking chart. Even though we are half way through this month, I will go ahead and say my goal for this month is $15.00. A very attainable goal considering I am at about $7.50... So half way there!

Just a quick report from my eHow articles... turns out it was a fluke. I guess I had a good day on my first day making a buck-O-one. I have read a lot about other people's experiences and found out it takes a long time for an article to start making money, it actually seems like I'm doing better than most people did when they started up their eHow business. Most people claim it takes at least a week for an article to make money, so HA! I'm a little bit ahead of the game, about $1.55 ahead of the game apparently. Here are the eHow articles of the day:

How to Convert an Adobe PDF to JPEG

How to Make Pie Charts in Word
How to Convert a File to PDF Format

Day 4: Easter and SurveySpot

So I took a day off from the blog but I still did my three eHow articles for both days. I ended up spending Easter with a bunch of college friends and didn't have time to write in the blog. Anyway, today's site I joined was SurveySpot. From what I can tell, this site seems to be similar to Survey Saavy and I have read about a few people that have ended up making a decent amount of money of the site. I hope I have the same luck and I will report back on how lucky I get from the site.

Survey Savvy seems to be sending me about one survey per day, a little less than I was hoping but better than nothing. I have gotten a survey worth $3 and a survey worth $20! The only problem is I didn't qualify for the $20 survey. I'm starting to question the legitimacy of Survey Savvy because I took the survey for about 6 or 7 minutes before it decided that I wasn't the right man for the job... sounds kind of like a scam, huh? I was asked a bunch of questions about the amount of tv's I have, what movie sites a subscribe to, and my service providers before it shut me down. However, I managed to be eligible for the $3 survey but it says it could take 6-8 weeks before I get credited with the money. I guess I will just have to wait.

So I will post 6 articles from eHow because I had to make up for yesterday... so far I am on target for my 3 a day eHow plan! Here are the 6:

By the way, I already joined the website for tomorrow but I won't say what it is until tomorrow's post!

Day 2: Survey Savvy and my results from day 1

Today I decided to join Survey Savvy, a website that pays you to do surveys. The way it works is they send surveys your way and you get paid between $2 and $20. Well this is what they claim. I have read up on people joining this site and found some people that made quite a bit of money and other people that haven't made a dime. We will see how many articles they send my way and how much they are worth.

Let's change this over to the results! Things are starting to look good, a lot better than I had previously anticipated. My results from AdSense are:

Yep, that's $2.93! I don't know who decided to start clicking on the ads, but I really appreciate your help! Now for my eHow articles that I posted yesterday, here are the results from those:

That's another $1.01 added to my bank account! As I said in the last article, many people said it took a long time for them to make their first dollar off eHow. I don't know if it was a fluke, but I'm happy with a fluke. Assuming this wasn't a fluke, I can make about a buck a day off three articles. by this logic, after 10 days I will have 30 articles as long as I go by my eHow plan and if I have 30 articles I can make $10 per day or about $300 per month! Let's hope this wasn't a fluke and I can continue this plan. I guess you can see the three articles I published from the picture above (and the 2 other articles I am currently working on), but here are the links to the 3 eHow articles of the day:

Day 1: eHow and AdSense

Welcome!

So this is day 1, this is how I'm going to try and start my passive income experiment. Actually, it started last night with Google AdSense. This nice little tool places ads on your website and pays you depending on how many clicks you get. Google seems to do most of the work for you by posting related ads to reach the demographic of said advertisement. As people see something that interests them, they click it and google adds some cash to your AdSense account. Pretty neat.

Besides using AdSense, my first site that I will use to begin my experiment is eHow. If you are unfamiliar with this site, I recommend checking it out. It is full of great articles on "How to..." do almost anything you want to know. If you don't see what you are looking for, you can then request that someone write about how to do whatever it is you want to do. So for this website, my goal is to write three articles a day. That is simple enough. I figure if I were to do this for a year, I will reach 1068 articles (or 1071 articles if it is a leap year). I have done research and read stories of people making several hundred dollars a month, however I heard the first dollar takes a few months to accumulate so I will just have to wait patiently. I actually started a membership last night and got my 3 articles for today done with! I'll post my three articles everyday and report how they are doing. Here are the links to the three articles for today:

Have fun reading these and I will talk to you tomorrow with my next three articles and my next idea for this experiment. Let me know if you have any ideas or questions

My Internet Business Idea

Hey Everyone!

So with our current economic situation in the United States, many people know it is very hard to get a job. It's brutal. I'm proposing my online business experiment which involves trying to make a decent amount of money through online passive income. What is passive income? Well it is defined as receiving an income on a regular basis by doing little or no work. Sounds fantastic, right? Hell yea it does! So I am devising an experiment where I try and make $1000.00 a month. That's it. By making this money, I can pay for my groceries and apartment rent while I go to school.

Currently, I'm a mechanical engineering student at Clemson University. I love it at Clemson and I am so glad I decided to come to this excellent school. The semester is coming to an end now and it is time to start looking for a job. Well this is much easier said than done. I won't give up on finding an easy job doing some sort of mindless job where I can make 7 bucks an hour, but if I can add an extra thousand dollars a month to my income, I can pay off some bills and such.

Here is my plan as of right now: I have done some research and found there are several sites where you can make money on the internet. All you have to do is write about something or take a few surveys. As of today, I have looked at joining a few websites. Over the next few days, I will write down the websites I have decided to join and my plan for each one.
